If you live in India and want to sell a gift card for cash, the payout method you choose matters as much as the rate. UPI, USDT and bank transfer all work on Reloadly, but they differ in speed, convenience and risk. This guide compares them side by side so you can pick the right one in under a minute.
Thank you for reading this post, don’t forget to subscribe!Short version: choose UPI if you want rupees in your bank app quickly, USDT if you already use a crypto wallet or exchange, and bank transfer only if you cannot use either. You receive 88% of most cards’ value and 95% for crypto gift cards, whichever method you pick.
Payout methods compared
| Method | Best for | Speed after verification | What you need |
|---|---|---|---|
| UPI (India) | Most Indian sellers | Fast | Your UPI ID (e.g. name@okbank) |
| USDT / crypto | Crypto users, international sellers | Fast | Wallet address + network (TRC20, ERC20 or BEP20) |
| PayPal | Freelancers with PayPal | Fast | PayPal email |
| Bank transfer | No UPI or wallet | Slower (depends on bank) | Account number, IFSC, name |
UPI: the easiest way to get rupees
UPI is the most popular choice for Indian sellers because the money lands straight in your bank app. Enter your UPI ID carefully in the sell form; we recommend copying it from your UPI app rather than typing it.
- Pros: fast, no wallet needed, works with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm and every bank app.
- Cons: UPI payments cannot be reversed, so a wrong ID means the money goes to someone else.
USDT: best value if you use crypto
USDT (Tether) is a stablecoin that tracks the US dollar. If your card is in USD, a USDT payout avoids currency conversion entirely, so you keep the full payout value. You can hold it, convert it to rupees on an Indian exchange, or use it to buy gift cards with USDT.
- Pros: fast, no conversion on USD cards, works worldwide.
- Cons: you must choose the right network. Sending on the wrong network can lose the funds.
Tip: TRC20 has the lowest network fees for most wallets. Always check which networks your wallet or exchange accepts before submitting.
Bank transfer: the fallback option
Bank transfers work, but they can take longer than our 15-minute target depending on your bank and the day of the week. Use it only if UPI and USDT are not options for you.
Which gift cards sell best from India?
We buy Indian gift cards like Amazon India, Flipkart, Myntra and Google Play India, as well as international cards such as Amazon USA, Apple and Steam. Crypto gift cards (Binance, CoinSwitch, Coinbase, BitPay) pay the most at 95%; read how to sell Binance gift cards for 95%.
How to sell your card in 4 steps

Safety checklist for Indian sellers
- Only sell cards you bought or received yourself. Cards from “job offers”, “KYC updates” or prize messages are scams; see gift card scam warning signs.
- Never share your UPI PIN. We only need your UPI ID to send money, never a PIN or OTP.
- Keep your card receipt until the sale is paid.
